1. Citrus
fruits : Vitamin C increases the production of white blood cells. These are the
key for fighting infections. Almost all the citrus fruits are high in Vitamin
C. Some of the citrus fruits are Grapes, Oranges, Tangerines, Lemons, Lies, Clementines.
2. Spinach
: Spinach is also rich in vitamin C. It is also packed with numerous
antioxidants and and beta carotene which may increase the infection fighting
ability of our immune system.
3. Papaya
: Papaya is loaded with vitamin C. It has a digestive enzyme called papain and
also has anti inflammatory effect.Papayas have abundant amount of potassium, B
vitamins and folate, all of which are beneficial for our overall health.
4. Red
bell peppers : Red bell peppers are rich in vitamin C. They are also a rich
source of beta carotene.
5. Garlic
: Garlic helps to fight infections. Its immune boosting properties seems to
come from a heavy concentration of sulphur containing compounds such as allicin.
6. Broccoli : It
is rich in vitamins and minerals. Its packed with vitamin A, C & E, as well
as many other
anti- oxidants and fiber.
7. Ginger :
Ginger helps to reduce inflammation and it has immunity boosting properties.
8. Turmeric : The
curcumin in turmeric has immunity boosting properties.
9. Almond
: Vitamin E is the key to a healthy immune system. Nuts such as almonds are
packed with vitamins and also have healthy fats.
10. Sunflower
seeds : Sunflower seeds are rich in nutrients. They are incredibly high in
vitamin E which is important for regulating and maintaining our immune system.

- Yoga is one of the most effective natural immunity booster which helps to rejuvenate our whole body.
- Unlike the other forms of exercises, yoga works on everything. Yoga is a practice which strengthens our body physically as well as mentally.
- A regular yoga practice along with certain poses like Shishuasana, Matsyasana, Sethu bandhasana, Bhujangasana and Dhanurasana can support and boost immune system. Pranayama helps to boost the immunity by conditioning the lungs and improving the breathing capacity. Pranayama and Meditation helps to lower stress hormones that compromise the immune system.
TIPS FOR BOOSTING IMMUNITY

- Get sound sleep for 6-8 hours.
- Drink 2-3 litres of water everyday.
- Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
- Add more of leafy greens, bell peppers, citrus fruits, sweet potatoes and berries in your diet.
- Add garlic, ginger and turmeric in your diet.
- Reduce intake of alcohol.
- Exercise or practice yoga and meditate at least 3 to 4 times a week.
- Reduce stress levels by regularly practicing pranayama and meditation.
- Take sun bath everyday for minimum of 20 minutes. (before 9 am or after 4 pm).
